In both the food you eat and the skincare products that you use, you should ideally look for things that are high in unsaturated essential fatty acids, as they are high in antioxidants, and contain excellent regenerative properties.
Your body cannot produce essential oils (which is why they are called essential). A specifically formulated organic body oil, comprised of essential oils, will feed your skin with the nutrients it needs. Your skin's inherent chemical compounds recognise essential oilds on a chemical and energetic level. In choosing the correct body oils, a positive interaction, resulting in considerable nutrional benefit for your skin. Particularly beneficial oils are those that are cold pressed, and organic, as their constituents maintain their integrity.
One particularly good essential oil is Rose Hip Oil, with renowned health benefits, including a high concentration of essential fatty acids (including linoleic acid, oleic acid, and linolenic acid). Rose Hip Oil is well known as a useful organic ingredient for reducing age lines and wrinkles. Furthermore, it helps moisturise skin which has been exposed to sunlight.
Also rich in linolenic acid, Evening primrose Oil is an excellent antioxidant. Ingested, Evening Primrose Oil helps to break down fat, and can therefore be helpful for losing weight.
When Evening Primrose Oil is applied to the skin, some of the many benefits include:
Lightening skin blemishes, dark circles around your eyes, and reducing redness.
Helping to rejuventate and regenerate your skin.
Promoting skin elasticity, and smoothing roough, dry skin.
Due to the above benefits, it is advisable to look for products (eg an organic body oil or organic face oil) with a high content of essential oils such as Rose Hip Oil or Rosemary Oil.
