You have bought that great electric lead guitar you have always wanted and posed in front of the mirror whilst miming playing to your favorite guitarists and now you have decided that you actually want to play lead guitar for real.
Except, when you listen to the awful noise that comes out of it when you play it then you realize it is not as easy as you first thought and this is going to take quite a bit of work and many long hours learning scales, how to read music and guitar tabs and will you actually manage to sound even half decent at the end of it all?
If you are anything like me then you will have popped out to the local music shop or even bought online and now have a few how to play great lead guitar books in your possession. However, when you start to read these it seems like a foreign language and you give up after an hour of trying to understand which finger goes on what fret and that is before you even attempt your first bar chord.
I have also tried guitar lessons but the downside to that is the expense and also the teacher wanted me to play in his style not mine so was very frustrating indeed. A teacher can show you how to play the scales and chords but is very limited when it comes to helping you to develop your own original style and technique.
So I needed something that would show me how to perfect my own style and technique that was affordable and I could revisit in my own time as and when the inspiration took hold.
